Schalk

Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Malte Schlösser
Zurich, 2018

The Schalktheater in Zurich is an inclusive theater project for people of mental illnesses. Over the last 10 years, it has grown from a social project to a rising theater institution. Mental illness is still a taboo. The Schalktheater in Zurich focuses on the artistic potential of those affected instead of any deficits. In addition to weekly theater training, his range of theater actors with psychological impairments has also included annual stage productions with artistic aspirations. The members of the ensemble are encouraged and challenged under professional direction. More information www.schalktheater.ch
